Stormy

"Winter" is in full force here in southern CA. In the last few weeks we've had some pretty significant rain storms (it actually rained through our slider door in the kitchen!).

Last weekend we went to the beach and were surprised to see, what we believe was, damage caused by the storms. Entire sections of sandy beach were wiped out and in their place were some pretty interesting rocks that had been hidden beneath the sand. Here are some pictures that show how much sand was stripped away and a few of the rocks.

Anyone know if the sand'll come back after so many tides?

Interesting formations. I would think it would come back eventually. On the other hand I know sometimes rivers and other land formations can be changed permanently after some severe weather. A geologist would know!

Rain is not winter in full force. Sorry. Remember praying for rain when winter is in full force?? "Please not more snow, Please!!!!"

W -- that's why it's "winter" and not winter. ;-)

I love the next-to-bottom photo especially. If you ever export large enough to be the background on a 27" iMac, count me in. :)
