It's C again with Random Thoughts Friday... well, just pretend I posted these on Friday.
1) So, store brand aluminum foil is half as thick as the brand name. Store brand corn doesn't taste as good as Green Giant. Chiquita bananas taste different than Dole bananas. (People used to think I was crazy on this last one... bananas are bananas right?) The ingredent lists of all of those things are the same between the brand and store products. Yet I'm supposed to believe store brand drugs are the same as the brand name???
2) If you get what you pay for, then we should have free insurance and mortgages by now.
3) Something ships to you 40 miles away. It then moved to a hub 75 miles away. Then it changes carriers and ends up taking 6 days to get from 40 miles away to your house. Only in America.
4) Why doesn't the post office put in self service termals? (Yes yes, national security.)
5) So, if there is a carbon cap and trade system, do athletics have to by credits because they expel more CO2?
Any random thoughts this week?

The Westborough Post Office has one! So I always use it. Because I get to Westborough an hour before the counter opens. You do have to agree to a long list of things that your package does not contain. So... trust-based national security?
I work in Westborough and thought the same thing about the self service kiosk.
A shipping thought - why is it that when I buy a $15 item and when it's shipped to me I have to sign for it in person but the $300 item is left out in front of my house with no signature.
